Disability Awareness Resource Training (DART): Accessibility Transportation Training

Beginning in 2016 Disability Awareness Resource Training (DART) is now required for maintaining a valid taxicab license in the city of Winnipeg. This applies to both new and existing drivers. ILRC is the exclusive provider of DART certification for Winnipeg taxicab drivers, providing a comprehensive training experience in our interactive learning environment.

Cost: $100


  • Online with a major credit card.
  • In person at the ILRC Head Office (third floor of Portage Place)
    Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 12:00PM and 1:00PM to 4:15PM.
    (Payment options: Visa, MasterCard, Debit, Cash, Cheque, or Money Order)
  • Corporate invoicing (5+ drivers) is available upon request. Please contact ILRC for more information.


  • Days 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Evenings 4 p.m.-7 p.m. (two evenings)

Training will take place at the ILRC DART Centre (training on second floor of Portage Place).

Please bring a water bottle as water is available from our water cooler. Please wear comfortable clothing as some of the training involves minor physical activity.

Certification: DART Transportation Module (Valid for 2 years). Certification awarded only with complete attendance. Certificates given at end of class.

Please note that there is a $20 replacement fee for lost or stolen certificates.

  • Reaching road safety standards
