Leisure Education is not...
A crisis or counseling service:
If the consumer is seeking a counselor, the L. Ed. Consultant will refer them to a suitable agency.
A System of Dependencies:
L. Ed. does not create an organized group of activities and it is not an everyday program. Under the system of consumer control, participants will meet with the program consultant at regular intervals to ensure ongoing participation in activities and to discuss individual concerns and targets. Program graduation goals are realized when consumers are informed and educated enough to perform leisure activities independently, the inherent goal of the program itself.
For Those Not Inclined To Change:
This program is all about change, growth and the personal achievement of a positive, independent lifestyle.
